Wednesday, January 28

Elias is putting everything in his mouth these days. We feel for teeth every day, but none have popped yet. Curious George was probably thankful for no teeth this morning!

Tuesday, January 27

We love bath time with Elias because he loves bath time. He kicks his feet non-stop, splashing as much as possible. Now he is big enough to sit in his little tub and he thinks he is pretty cool.

Sunday, January 25

I wanted to take a picture of Matthew and Elias before church, but Elias was not too interested in taking photos at 8 in the morning. This ended up being my favorite shot. He is just so busy.

Saturday, January 24

Elias loves his Baby Einstein play gym more and more every day. It is so cute to watch him bounce and play with all the toys on it. He gets so excited.

Friday, January 23

Today I went to take some pictures of Elias on my lunch break. It was almost 60 outside. I got some really sweet shots of him sitting in the grass, but they are not today's picture. Before I left him, I shot a few quick shots of him playing. I love this one because it captures his fun personality AND shows him at daycare, where he spends a lot of time during the week!

Journaling to come based on the election results!

Wednesday, January 21

When I was a little girl I had a "Mr. Apple" that suctioned to my highchair. Mom and Dad always talk about how much I loved that toy. So, I was delighted that now that Elias is using his highchair, I could put HIS suction toy on the tray. And he did not disappoint. He loved it and moved the rings back and forth for 15 minutes. We will probably have to take it off when he eats because he will be too distracted.

Tuesday, January 20

What an incredible day in our nation's history. Our staff watched the inauguration together and I had goosebumps throughout President Obama's speech. It was something I will never forget.

Monday, January 19

Elias was so cute eating in his high chair for the first time. He also liked looking at himself in the big mirror. Who is that cute baby boy?

Sunday, January 18

Finally got the Christmas decorations down! After taking all the ornaments off the tree, I carefully put them in the new ornament boxes that I bought on clearance last year. I was pretty excited about replacing my cardboard boxes with these sturdy sterlites. This is a glimpse of some of the ornaments from my childhood collection. The middle one is my favorite.

Saturday, January 17

Matthew bought Elias this Unsigned Artist shirt when I was still pregnant. I wanted to get some photos of him in it before he outgrows it - it is already getting small. We had fun with our impromptu photo shoot.

Friday, January 16

Tonight Matthew and I went out to dinner at Sunset Grill and Emma watched Elias. It was so nice to spend a few hours together, just the two of us. When we got to Emma's my ABS light went on in Lucy. We turned it off, went in and got Elias, came out and the car wouldn't stop. Great. Emma jumped the car and we got home okay. Elias was so tired and after nursing he fell right to sleep. I love this moment of Matthew holding him in the low light. He is such a good daddy. Our car may not start and we may not have much money, but we have a lot of love.

Thursday, January 15

Matt and Allison came over tonight to hang out and watch Grey's Anatomy. I think they were more into hanging out with Elias than us though.

Monday, January 12

Elias was so tired tonight. After his bath he was rubbing his eyes a lot. After I got him dried off and dressed, he nursed and went right to sleep. Sweet baby.

Sunday, January 11

Tonight we went over to the Serbans. We enjoyed catching up and introducing them to Elias. As always, he was his sweet, charming self.

Saturday, January 10

This is a common sight in our house - the computer with one of our blogs open and Elias sleeping in his bouncer at our feet. Too bad you can't hear him snoring.

Friday, January 9

The best news all year! A blog reader, Melissa, accidentally ordered two KOTMs, so she offered one for me to buy. YIPPEE!! She sent me her picture of the day to show me the kits... so it had to be my picture today too.

Thursday, January 8

Elias' latest trick is grabbing your face and yanking as hard as he can. Nice. He likes Daddy's nose.

Wednesday, January 7

Today I made baby food for Elias for the first time. I steamed frozen peaches, then pureed and froze them into little cubes. I hope he likes them!

Tuesday, January 6

Elias is such a happy baby - particularly when he is sporting Badger gear.

Monday, January 5

Elias loves his feet!! Here he is at lunch time, ready for prunes. He is naked except for his diaper because he likes to grab the spoon and get food everywhere.

Jan 3 and 4

Saturday, Jan. 3

Journaling: We had lunch at Moe's with Mandy and Ryan. Elias was so happy in Mandy's arms and was good as gold through lunch.

Sunday, Jan. 4

Journaling: Elias debuted his cute hat and outfit from Stacy Julian at church today. Needless to say, the hat and its model were a huge hit.

Week 1

Since I am just starting this blog, I am going to play catch-up on this week and post a bunch of photos in this post.

Sunday, Dec. 28
Journaling: We left Maryland today after spending five days with Matthew's family celebrating Christmas. Everyone loved being with Elias, especially Maw Maw and Paw Paw

Monday, Dec. 29
Journaling: Daddy had Elias today, as day care is closed until Jan. 6. They had a great time together.

Tuesday, Dec. 30
Journaling: This sweater zips up the back and is one of our favorites. Look at those eyes. Watch out ladies.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

Journaling: Elias sleeping haphazardly during his morning nap. He lately has been turning himself at an angle in his sleep.

Thursday, Jan. 1
Journaling: Matthew had the stomach flu yesterday and I got the stomach flu today. Awful. Just awful. Happy New Year to us.

(I have no photos from New Year's Day. What a way to start. lol. I was thinking of taking a photo of the bathroom, or just listing my resolutions instead.)

Friday, Jan. 2
Journaling: Our Baby New Year. Could we be any more blessed? I don't think so.

An Introduction

I am going to use this blog to keep up with my 2009 project 365. I hope the pictures will inspire you or at least give you a glimpse into our little world.

I am also keeping up with these photos in my Creating Keepsakes Project 365 album kit. You can learn more about the kit here.
