Elias is putting everything in his mouth these days. We feel for teeth every day, but none have popped yet. Curious George was probably thankful for no teeth this morning!

Today I went to take some pictures of Elias on my lunch break. It was almost 60 outside. I got some really sweet shots of him sitting in the grass, but they are not today's picture. Before I left him, I shot a few quick shots of him playing. I love this one because it captures his fun personality AND shows him at daycare, where he spends a lot of time during the week!

When I was a little girl I had a "Mr. Apple" that suctioned to my highchair. Mom and Dad always talk about how much I loved that toy. So, I was delighted that now that Elias is using his highchair, I could put HIS suction toy on the tray. And he did not disappoint. He loved it and moved the rings back and forth for 15 minutes. We will probably have to take it off when he eats because he will be too distracted.

Finally got the Christmas decorations down! After taking all the ornaments off the tree, I carefully put them in the new ornament boxes that I bought on clearance last year. I was pretty excited about replacing my cardboard boxes with these sturdy sterlites. This is a glimpse of some of the ornaments from my childhood collection. The middle one is my favorite.

Tonight Matthew and I went out to dinner at Sunset Grill and Emma watched Elias. It was so nice to spend a few hours together, just the two of us. When we got to Emma's my ABS light went on in Lucy. We turned it off, went in and got Elias, came out and the car wouldn't stop. Great. Emma jumped the car and we got home okay. Elias was so tired and after nursing he fell right to sleep. I love this moment of Matthew holding him in the low light. He is such a good daddy. Our car may not start and we may not have much money, but we have a lot of love.

Week 1
Since I am just starting this blog, I am going to play catch-up on this week and post a bunch of photos in this post.
Sunday, Dec. 28
Journaling: We left Maryland today after spending five days with Matthew's family celebrating Christmas. Everyone loved being with Elias, especially Maw Maw and Paw Paw
Monday, Dec. 29
Journaling: Daddy had Elias today, as day care is closed until Jan. 6. They had a great time together.
Tuesday, Dec. 30
Journaling: This sweater zips up the back and is one of our favorites. Look at those eyes. Watch out ladies.
Wednesday, Dec. 31
Journaling: Elias sleeping haphazardly during his morning nap. He lately has been turning himself at an angle in his sleep.
Thursday, Jan. 1
Journaling: Matthew had the stomach flu yesterday and I got the stomach flu today. Awful. Just awful. Happy New Year to us.
(I have no photos from New Year's Day. What a way to start. lol. I was thinking of taking a photo of the bathroom, or just listing my resolutions instead.)
Friday, Jan. 2
Journaling: Our Baby New Year. Could we be any more blessed? I don't think so.
