I have been doing a lot of media relations for my client FirstCall in the wake of the devastating tornadoes outside of Nashville. We went to Murfreesboro for a TV interview and this is just one of the many houses we saw.
Elias and I ran A LOT of errands this weekend and he was just tuckered out Sunday night. He fell asleep in my arms. I just had to set him on the couch to take a few pictures of him sleeping. His hand on the side of his head cracks me up.
Elias was up early Saturday morning and didn't want to go back to sleep. Finally, I just brought him in our bed and we both fell asleep. Matthew left for a three day trip to Ohio that morning and snapped this before he left.
Whenever Elias is in the car, he holds on to the side of the carseat. Here he fell asleep on his way home from day care and he is still holding the side of the seat!
Daddy took us to the airport early Monday morning. We waited as long as we could outside security so he could hold him and kiss him lots before we left.
We went to visit Nana at the nursing home on Easter Sunday. Though her memory is rapidly declining, she still really enjoyed Elias. It was a special memory for me.
We celebrated Easter with the Schims on Saturday instead of Easter Sunday. Elias got a little stranger anxiety at first, but he warmed up. (the last small pic of Elias and me is actually going to go on the journaling card for Friday)
Tonight we went to see Augusten Burroughs - one of Matthew's favorite authors. He was soooooo funny. We waited in line for an hour, but it was so worth it. Matthew tried not to smile too big - I think he did a good job.
Elias started running a fever yesterday. It would break, he would be fine, and then it would come back. These photos were taken when he was feeling pretty good.
