Elias has just started wearing these little two piece pj sets - he looks so grown up to me in them. He is getting so big! I can't stand it. I love it and hate it at the same time.

Monday, Feb. 23

Elias started having 3 meals a day on Sunday. Here he is, happy as a clam, getting ready to eat some dinner Monday night.

Sunday, Feb. 22

I made Abby, Ellie and Kate birdhouses for Christmas, which we finally celebrated today. They loved them! Kate decided that the bird living in her's was hungry and dropped baby carrots in the hole. Nice.

Saturday, Feb. 21

Today was Amber's baby shower. It was so fun to celebrate the coming of little Josie. Elias was a hit amongst the ladies at the shower. Big surprise. He's such a ladies man.

Friday, February 20

Elias is such a morning person. He is always happy. Here he is, laughing away, right before it was time to leave for work and day care.

Thursday, February 19

Elias only napped for an hour and a half today at day care, so he was pretty tired and cranky. I nursed him and rocked him and he fell asleep by 7:30.

Wednesday, February 18

Elias adores Matthew. Tonight he sat just playing with Daddy, grabbing his glasses and giggling away. It is incredibly special to see their relationship growing every day. I pray they are always close.

Today I went to take a few pictures of Elias at day care. I love this picture of him playing, with that smile that melts my heart every day.

Monday, Feb. 16

Everyone went back to Wisconsin today. Before I left for work we took a few more pictures. I love this one of me with my parents.

Melissa knitted everyone scarves for Christmas this year. We decided to take a family picture of everyone wearing them - Elias looks particularly cute in his mini scarf.

Dan surprised Matthew, me and most of all Melissa by proposing today! What a special Valentines.

Friday, Feb. 13

My family came to celebrate Christmas today! They got in at about 9:30 and we woke Elias up so they could see him. He was so sweet and they were just delighted by him.

Thursday, Feb. 12

Our kitchen ceiling desperately needed painting. So, the night before my family came, during Grey's Anatomy commercials, Matthew and I gave it a coat of paint. It still needs another coat, but it looks A LOT better.

Elias is having so much fun playing on the floor lately. He especially loves this toy.

Sunday, February 8

Today it was 73 degrees in Nashville. Elias and I went out to run a few errands and stopped by Paula's. Elias loves Paula and got a kick out of Smidgen!

Friday, February 6

Today was the start of Blissdom. I got home from Denver, quickly ran to the office, then headed to the conference around lunchtime. Alli ("Mrs. Fussypants") did a great job planning the event. The first two sessions were excellent.

Thursday, February 5

Today I had to head out to Denver for a video shoot for ESA. I hated leaving Matthew and Elias behind, but at least I got to fly Southwest.

Sunday, February 1

Matthew was baptized today. It was awesome. (Matthew is going to write on the journaling card for today. I am also going to use one of the transparencies from the 365 kit to really set this image apart).

Saturday, January 31

Matthew was out writing and Elias just didn't seem quite himself. He would only nap if I was holding him, so we both took a nap on the couch. This is how Matthew found us. When Matthew picked Elias up, he thought he felt warm. It turned out that he had his first fever. It was 100.8 and we were able to get it to drop pretty quickly with some Tylenol. We think those teeth must be just around the corner.

Friday, January 30

Elias had his six-month check up today. Dr. Schull felt a lump in his tummy and though she thought it was most likely nothing, she had us take him to Vanderbilt for an ultrasound just in case. It turned out to just be poop! Thank God that our baby is okay.

Thursday, January 29

We had to take Lucy into the shop today because she just was not running right. Turned out she needed a new alternator - despite getting a new one in August. Thankfully it was still covered under warranty and we got it fixed for free. Andy is our new favorite mechanic.
