Elias's boo boo hasn't stopped him from being the happiest kid on the block. He gets so excited when we get to day care every day. He kicks his feet and grins.

Elias fell down on the playground today and really cut his chin. I tried to put neosporin and a band aid on it, but that didn't last long!

Every morning when Elias wakes up, he wants the lamp and the CD player turned on. Then he likes to dance a little bit. It is so cute.

Elias loves being outside and looking at everything around him. He is so curious and busy.

Matthew loves wearing Elias when he takes him out, and Elias gets a kick out of being worn. I love seeing Matthew with Elias on his back. I think it is so cute.

Today I went to the MOPS convention. The best part was getting to hang with Angie and my blogging friend Andrea. It was a refreshing day.

Tonight I had dinner with some of the girls from (in)courage at Catina Loredo. It was a lot of fun to have a girls night out.

I love that Elias still sleeps with his hands behind is head, just like in the picture from in my belly. He is so sweet.

Wed., Sept. 23

Today was Muffins with Mommy at Elias's daycare. He painted a little paper muffin and I helped glue on some foam shapes- which he tried to eat. Nice, Elias.

Today I had a big luncheon event for a client. Paula snapped this shot of me before it began. I look tired, I think.

Elias will just sit and play and play in the living room. He loves his wood toys.

Paw Paw was really impressed by what a good player Elias is. They had fun with blocks before church. It was so sweet.

Elias was a little clingy to me on Saturday when all the family came for a visit. He warmed up though. He had a good time going on a walk with Aunt Kelley, Katelyn, Christian and me.

Friday, Sept. 18

Today Elias and I flew to Maryland for a weekend visit with Matthew's family. He had fun playing in the children's area at the airport.

Thursday, Sept. 17

Lovell won 11 IABC awards tonight and three were for projects I was a part of. It was a fun evening to be rewarded for our work.

Elias loves sitting and rocking in his rocking chair. He often crawls into it by himself.

Tues., Sept 15

Tonight we went and saw Wicked with Matt and Alyson. The tickets were for my birthday this year. It was amazing.

Elias LOVES to wave. He waves at people, cars, trees - anything. It is adorable.

I think Elias might be the happiest child ever. We adore him.

Elias LOVES to color. He had so much fun scribbling tonight while we were cooking dinner.

Elias had so much fun sitting on Daddy's computer desk while talking to Nana on the computer before school.

Elias LOVES playing with the velcro on his shoes- so much that he basically ripped it off. I had to take them to the cobbler to get repaired.

Our friend Jen was in Nashville and stopped by for a short visit. Elias LOVES her. It was so cute to see them laughing.

It was labor day today, so Elias and I enjoyed some time hanging out in the pool before it closed for the summer.

Kristen and Chip came over for dinner tonight. We had fun catching up. Elias loved them both!

We got new carpet today! Our condo looks AMAZING. We are so grateful for this generous gift from my family.

Today was Matthew's first Father's Day. I made pancakes, we went to church and then went swimming. It was a great day to spend together.

I moved Elias's toys to the spot beneath our DVD player. He loves to pull it out, pull toys out and even put himself into the cubby. We have an explorer and a total boy on our hands!

Friday, June 19

Elias got a balloon at the grocery store today and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. It carried it through the whole store and then wouldn't let go of it until we got home.

Jillian and Elias are great buds at day care. They have been together since Elias was 6 weeks old. It is neat to watch them play with one another.

Elias fell right back to sleep after his morning bottle this morning. He is getting so big.

Elias has his own shelf of books under the end table. He pulls them all out almost every morning and night.

Elias's favorite pasttime is pulling out my crafty mats and throwing them all over our bedroom floor. A penguin and a pot to bang on are also fun toys.

We are making going to the pool a weekly event and Elias loves it. So does Mommy.

Elias enjoyed standing between the couch and his exersaucer tonight. Big boy.

Elias is getting better and better at standing up next to furniture. He needs help getting up, but once he is up, he is up!

Tonight we talked with Melissa on the computer and Elias kept trying to get at the computer. It had us all laughing.

Elias was so sweet this morning during his morning nap, sleeping on his tummy with his butt in the air - facing the wrong direction in his crib, as always.

Mandy, Elias and I went swimming in our big pool today. He loved the water immediately. It was a day I will never forget.

We let Elias swim in his kiddie pool for the first time today. He LOVED splashing in the water.

Elias was so tired after day care today that he fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep when we carried him upstairs. He slept on our bed for an hour.

This week was Elias's first week in the lamb room. He did pretty well, though he didn't nap as much. He's just so busy!

Elias is VERY interested in looking outside these days... and he always wants to get out the door when someone goes out. I love seeing his curiosity.

Tonight was one of my last times nursing Elias, so I had Matthew snap a few photos. I will always treasure my time nursing our baby.

Elias's reusable swim diaper came in the mail today, so we tried it out in the bathtub. He looked so cute in it.

Elias and I hung out at the Smith's today. It was great to catch up with Angie and let the kids play together. They will be life-long friends.
